The Harley Medical Group and Lakestar Media move ahead with search
Established in 1983, The Harley Medical Group is the leading cosmetic surgery and non-cosmetic surgical solutions group in the UK. The group has treated more than 500,000 patients and is synonymous with exceptional client care, safety and satisfaction. The Harley Medical Group had focused on SEO for several years, and although high rankings had been achieved, the challenge was to take the campaign to its next level.
Brief
The key elements of the brief were to:
- Significantly grow highly targeted, relevant organic traffic.
- Improve organic rankings and appear in a top three position for a variety of highly competitive key phrases.
Strategy
A fresh site audit was carried out which identified several technical issues which were affecting optimum indexation by the search engines. On site keyword targeting was then expanded to maximise ranking opportunities, while at the same time groups of pages were consolidated to provide greater inbound link focus, resulting in an immediate uplift in rankings. An advanced link building strategy was deployed to increase the website’s authority. In order to create additional search engine visibility and brand awareness via long tail search terms, news and blog sections of the site were more regularly updated with relevant content. Finally, a product search feed was
implemented to increase the visibility of the transactional section of the site, which has resulted in incremental revenue.
Results
SEO traffic increased by 131 percent in the first seven months of thecampaign.
Improved rankings of 35 highly competitive search terms which now appear in positions one to three in the organic search results. Eleven of these are in the number one position.
