New plug-in pinpoints lost Facebook friends

A new browser plug-in can now show users exactly who has 'unfriended' them on Facebook.

'Unfriend Finder' works with many popular browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox, and makes information available which cannot be accessed from Facebook itself.

While users get a notification from Facebook of every 'Friend' request they get, there is no similar alert given when someone deletes them from their list of friends.

ZDNet.com's Emil Protalinski says this is "so users don't feel guilty when they unfriend someone," but he adds: "Unfortunately, some users just can't help themselves and are unbearably curious about who is unfriending them, and when."

He adds that the 'Unfriend Finder' doesn't work for people who have already broken off links, but it will show all cyber-relationships which are severed after the plug-in is installed.

But, Protalinski concludes after reviewing the plug-in: "Unfriend Finder is the real deal (until Facebook shuts it down, of course)".
