Social sites hit by flood of spam

Facebook users are being hit by a concerted wave of spam
attacks, prompting renewed warnings for people to keep their anti-virus
software updated.

Reports suggest that the social media network has
been the target of up to five attacks from malicious sources in the space of 24 hours.

Some spammers have created fake websites on Facebook itself. Clicking on them grants the people operating them access to an individual
