Online spending on business to business marketing will grow by 8 per cent during the coming year, according to a new report.
Market-based strategy consultancy, AMR International, says this will be followed by a further 14 per cent rise in 2012, according to a report by business publication Minonline.
Denzil Rankine, AMR chief executive, said the increase in popularity of online marketing channels would come at the expense of traditional media.
He said: “Although magazines will continue their structural decline, online, direct mail and events are all likely to grow – albeit at varying rates.”
However, minonline reported that survey results show two-thirds of businesses believe digital marketing techniques still need to be complimented by traditional methods.
